Two different magazines. The Ninja 250R models should both be '08s, not sure why the difference. The first WR250R listed might be an '09 model, not sure if there are any differences.

Lostnite66,
I can't wait to hear the 1/4 (and 1/8 if they give it) ET's for the 2009.

That will be probably late in the summer if I do it. I still have to break it in, and running the 1/4 mile is not high on my priority list of things I want to do with my bike. But if and when I do, I'll be sure to post the timeslips.

Did anyone else read that anywhere?

I'll try to find it and post it up.
Chris
also read that the Yamaha needed the xtra hp to overcome the xtra wieght
hp..torque..weight..depends on terrain..riding style etc. Give me 750 hp at the rear wheel if you cannot get it to the ground your sucking wind.

I agree, especially with the street tires I would've said it would come out slightly ahead.

Who knows, it was pretty close. Reaction times, rider skills, etc. Also what is the sprocket gearing difference on the R and X?

That fuel mileage for the KLX has gotta be wrong, as does the 230's.
Absolute waste of time comparing the new WR to the KLX - they are two totally different bikes.
I would have loved a WR, but not at NZ$4000 (US$2500) more! I don't feel that the WR should be THAT much more expensive - damn exchange rates!
