klx250s sag
I need help. I have a 2010 and have not found a definitive number for what the race sag should be for this. Is it 1/3 of suspension travel or something different? Any help will be much appreciated.

I've always heard 1/3rd of suspension travel also.
Someone here worked it out to 93mm or something if memory serves. That's what I've got mine set for and it's been great on the really nasty whoops and bumps... now just have to deal with those pesky soggy napkins rolled into a fork tube on the front.

The '06/'07 have 11-inches of rear travel.
The '09+ have 9.1-inches.

After you get your race sag set, check your static sag to see if your spring is correct for your weight.

The 2009 Factory Service Manual shows 230 mm of rear wheel travel. If you're in doubt, measure it yourself?

This procedure mentions rider sag of 90 to 100 mm, but that's for a KLX300 (with 11-inches of travel). You'll be looking at something closer to 71 to 81 mm.
I think static sag is about 10% of travel, so for you about 18 to 28 mm (around an inch).
