Default KLX250S enduro/motocross tyres

If i got a rear enduro/motocross tyre would i need to change the front tyre aswell. I mainly ride off-road. I was also thinking of getting a powerbomb 4 exhaust for it, what would i need to do before and after i install the exhaust

wow..... confusing....

So... If you got a new more aggressive rear tire and still had the stock front tire? I would recommend changing it, the stock tires suck. You dont have to though...

If you get a full exhaust you will need to rejet and opening up the airbox would help alot.

I sense a newer KLX owner excited about bumping it up some. First post ... welcome to the forum.

Your post sounds like my thoughts about 17 months ago. The rear tire (tyre) was shot but the front looked like it still had some wear left on it. After changing the rear, I had to change the front soon after because it just wasn't doing very well off road.

Also installed a slip-on, rejetted, and removed airbox lid. YMMV.

Then my recommendation is to ride that old tire for a bit on the trails at varying pressures. Get a feel for how it behaves at 12, 15, 18, 21 psi (or thereabouts). Then go get that new tire and do the same. You've got a lot of learning to do, so play around, take notes, and ask questions.

If you're trying to ride hard on rough trails, think about getting a heavy duty tube and rim lock. The rim lock will let you ride a lower pressure with less chance of spinning the tire on the rim and ruining the tube's valve stem.
