Default KLX250S cylinder head wanted,

Hi guys,
I am looking for a spare cylinder head I can port before I strip then engine to fit my 331 BB kit..

It's a bit spendy, but alot cheaper vs. new. $650 for just the oem cylinder head.

I could see spending maybe $250-300 for a spare head... same reason as OP. I'd like to have one to send off to Bill Blue so I don't have to tear my bike down first.

just curious but have you installed more agressive cams already ? reason i ask is that with the stock cams i doubt you would see enough high rpm pull to even take advantage of any kind of port work.

From what I've heard from talking to Bill Blue, headwork makes a very noticeable difference when paired with the big bore kits. The stock valves are too small, so he installs larger intakes, all new seats, and resets the valve angles too; he says those aren't very good from the factory.

Bill Blue is the BB in the 331 BB kit you're talking about. Best way to contact him is by phone if you can.

maybe, but i think its about $400-500 for the port work plus the extra head. i would want to be pretty dang sure i'd have reached the limit of the stock head before spending that kind of dough.
