I got padded underwear from fox racing. Titan shorts they are called. They help but I still get numb butt after riding. I can barely reach the ground at the stock heighth, otherwise I'd get more padding for the seat.

I just stand up while riding. I get looks from people, but I don't care.

60 miles in on my 06' KLX, my legs and butt hurt. After 90 miles, I become in a guru state of mind. Thou when I have to stop for fuel, the pain comes back quickly.

I hear Renazco make pretty good seats for the KLX. Just gotta send in your old seat pan and give them a few rider's specs. Also a gel seat padding might help (which I may try).

Pillow? More like a 2X4. I like a lot of things about the KLX, but the stock seat is not one of them.

Tremor and others have the Renzaco saddle, and seem to love them, but at 3 bills+ there's a few other mods I'd like to do first. Finger got the new foam and cover from Guts Racing and seems to be happy with it. It's a DIY mod, so the price is commensurate with your involvement. Also adds a bit of height, though I'd gladly trade standing on the ***** of my feet ( I'm 5'8" on a low gravity day) at a light for more comfort going down the road. When it's time, I'm going to look hard at the Guts Racing kit.

Pillow? You mean the 2X4 that we sometimes sit on called a seat? it doesn't matter if I'm riding on the highway, trails or gravel roads, I stand when I can, and on my 700 mile 3 day trip to Canada last year, we got some funny looks from people, but as was mentioned I don't care.
