Default KLX250 VS CR250 OUCH.

last weeka buddy and myself were cruising the backroads when a dude on a cr250 comes flying around the corner on my side of the road.and we collided head on at probably 50kmh.

the KLX managed to ride out.but the fork was pushed back about 4 inches, broke the front fender, bent the front axle and busted 2 spokes in the front wheel.and busted one mirror.

the cr didn't fair as well.
crushed pipe, broken engine cases and twisted the engine in the frame.

I am just waiting on a couple of spokes right now and the KJLX will be back on the road again.
I had the frame straightend at a local shop the specializes in frame straightening and replaced all other broken bits at the cr riders expence of course.

the plan is to ride it for now and come march sell it and pick up the KLX 450r.

neither rider were really injured very much.we both walked away.
Me all i had was a little skin missing in one finger and a small bruise on my stomach.
It relly scared the s@#%$% out of my buddy who wittnesed the whole thing.he figured both of us were seriously injured or worse.

If some idiot hit me and tried getting away with it, he'd be seriously injured after I found him... I have a $500 deductable and I'm not the sueing type unless it comes to my bike

Tough weeked for KLXs. With a cracked frame, I'd get rid of it too--probably part it out.

OUCH. I'm surprized that the frame could even be fixed. Would have thought the Insurance co. would total the bike.

As for the CR250 driver, WTF was he doing in your lane? Can't people learn to slow down. [:@]

Wow! Sorry about the bike, I would be crying if that happened to me. Good luck.

Glad to see you weren't seriously hurt. These types of incidents can be "gentle" reminders that no matter how safe we feel on our bikes, there is an inherent and ever present risk... so ride with caution and both eyes wide open.

Hope you get back in the saddle and keep on enjoying your ride.
