Default KLX250 EFI hard to start when warm

Hi all, I have the KLX250 EFI 2009 european model and it starts fine from cold. However when warm it is tricky, always starts but you have to play with the throttle to get it to start each time. I have checked valve clearances and they are all in spec. Anything else I can check?

Thanks.

I have that very similar problem with my EFI. Never had it until after the big bore mod though. So maybe it's for different reasons. Mine can sit for two weeks in the rain (covered) and start instantly. But let it warm up and then it won't start without some throttle. I've checked compression, valve clearance, played with fuel controller settings...but nothing. Last resort is do what was recommended above, disable KACR and see what happens.

Do report back if you ever figure out what's causing the problem.

Btw, exactly how does yours act when trying to turn it over and it fails? On mine, it will often catch, but only at a very low RPM for about a second. Just not enough to get it to idle and it dies. Giving it throttle will bring that low RPM up enough not to die. Is that similar to what you're experiencing?

i once had the problem of the battery being a bit low and causing the bike to die after a few seconds
(due to load on stator causing efi system to cut off)
