Default KLX 250 on motocross track

went to a dirtbike track in red Bluff CA saturday. i have never rode on a track before so i thought i was gonna suck. to my surprise it went pretty well. started on there medium sized track for a couple hours and then got the hang of that. then went to the big boys track. by the end of the day i was jumpin the big 80 foot tabletop. felt really good even on the stock klx suspension. it was a great day and the bike performed well even with my kenda k270 50/50 tires and my 15/43 gearing =)

I didn't think our bikes were designed for this type of jumping. Sure brings back memories when I had my 1985 CR125. I sure miss that bike.

Take a look at mx bikes from the 70s or event eh 80s. The klx is worlds better than those were and we rode the snot out of them.

You rock! Yesterday I was watching the CMC races at Argyll MX (Argyllmx) down here in Dixon (not far from me in Fairfield, and not *that* far from you), wondering if my little KLX250s could hang on the Argyll track. Based on your riding, I guess it could. Now, if I could just ride like that How did it keep up with everybody else? Could I putt along in last place in the 40+ 250cc ultra-super-newbie class on it?

Shoot me a PM if you come down to ride @Argyll.

Here are my crappy pictures of the racing on Sunday @Argyll (taken from the bleachers which are next to the tabletop):
