I think a stock 250 4 stroke MX bike produces HP in the mid 30's range?
So thats very near double a stock KLX250.
But who keeps theirs stock?

But HP aside, the power delivery of an MX bike is in another world.

I have never ridden a modern 4 stroke MX bike as they were all 2 bangers in my day.
I think I would like it.

Its funny when you do. You don't think a 4 stroke would run like they do, especially after riding 2 strokes for so long and older 4 strokes. They have power in all areas of the powerband, they hook up, and they are fast.

Nice machines.

stock it would be twice the horsepower but my KLX was modded. for a comparison it gives my dads xr400 a good run. though i like to consider myself faster than the ol man
