Default KLX 250/300 project

As stated in previous post my Craigslist purchase was a real turd so now it is in a million pieces, literally. The frame and tank are back from powder coating and here are a few small parts I did in green, burnt bronze, and white. The 300 piston is back from Swain Tech and shortly I will start building up the bike. Wish me luck! I think I will lace up the wheels next..

Old and ugly

Nice and shiny, love having a lathe.

Getting closer
Installed the the 300cc kit and popped on the head, during this I inspected the oil pump and decided to replace the gears and polished up the water pump shaft.

Default Finally

Finally started to put her back together! Forgot to buy new pivot bearings for the swing arm and I need to figure out what I want to do with the carb, it needs a rebuild and jet kit. I might get it done before the end of the year!

I don't understand painting the part that is hardest part to clean when assembled, white hubs. That gold color would hide the dust and dirt much better than white. Just sayin'...
