Default Kickstart kit

I'm new here, I've been hanging out on ThumperTalk but there is just not much discussion over there.

I recently installed a kickstart kit on my 2007 KLX250.. these kits are pretty expensive, nearly $400! But, I found them on a Japanese auction site for only $200. The Japanese are not known for auction scams, so I decided to take the chance.

https://japan.webike.net/products/21961674.html

I purchased one (with fingers crossed). Shipping was about $50 but I had it in my hands in 2-3 days! Definitely recommend looking there if you want one of these kits. I ride almost entirely off road, and the thought of a flat battery in a muddy section of woods was not appealing. I decided I needed the insurance of a kickstarter.

I tried to post pictures to show this is not some auction scam, but the forum won't let me add attachments? Maybe because of my low post count.

I uploaded them to imghost:

Hope this helps someone!

Any chance this will fit a 2009 or new KLX250? I assume the motor is the same?

I believe the kit fits... but you have to get a foot peg mount from the right side of an '06-'07 model... something about the foot peg interfering with the lever on the down stroke. I looked in to it once, but decided it made more sense to just bring along a jump pack... (which of course I also never do...LOL)

It will fit. Mine came from a KLX 300R bottom end I found.
And Abrams is right about the right side foot peg. A KLX 650R foot peg will also work.
