Whats the deal with the spot for a kick start on the side of the bike? Do I just have to put a lever on and I am good to go or is there more to it?

 

Theres a kick start kit available.. Would cost about $275 if Im not mistaken.. Theres much more than a lever to it!€

I still want to do that as my next mod. I'm not getting stuck at the bottom of a hill somewhere. I explore trails all the time, and they end up usually in the bottom of a valley in a creek. I hate relying on the battery. Mine is 3 years old and I have 10,500 miles on it, but i would be nice to have a back up. I installed the kit on my wife's 2006 XT 225, and it was really easy. There was even a gal on here last year that installed the kit on her KLX 250. Come on guys we can't be out done by a girl.
