Default Kick start

Can you install a kick start on a 2006 KLX 250S? I noticed on the right side a plug for a kick start.

Yes, you can, but it costs upwards of 300 USD.

Not to mention, you have to purchase all the parts individually, and don't expect to get much help come installation time :\

You can but it will set you back a few hundred in parts alone, plus whatever the shop charges if you have it done somewhere.

Yes, but why?

Manlier, less risk of getting stuck due to battery failure, and if you somehow figure out a way to remove the starter motor, a bazillion times lighter.

I'd remove the starter motor and install the kicker, if I could :P

My brother got stuck over night in the woods due to a battery failure. Had everyone quite concerned.
