Hey I think there are at least a couple of KF guys over there in Japan. I have noticed Tremor38/Dean posting lately, that's good. Tremor how are things over there? Looks like you are a bit north of the epicenter. Hope all is well for you. Tremor, you should change your name to 8.0.

All good here in Chiba, had a gas shortage for a while as supplies were sent up north to help the most effected. Glad I had use of my bike instead of my thirsty car.
The big quake was scary, I was in my car stopped at a red light when everything started jumping around. It was a magnitude 5 for me, much less than northern Japan, but frightening. And I'm used to quakes after 10 years here. Electricity was off here for 24 hours after I got home that day.
On the Chiba east coast the Tsunami claimed a few lives, about 15km from my place, glad I'm inland and on higher ground.
Amazingly outside the worst hit areas, trains started operating with 24 hours. Reduced service but considering the size of the shake quite remarkable.
Some food and water shortages persist, not serious though, at least where I am.

No one in my area is complaining though, millions of people in northern Japan had their lives changed forever, or taken away.
