haha I just saw your "location" the other day in another thread and I was going to ask you if you were riding the Kettle Moraine DS ride. I won't be there, but some day I do want to do that one. I have been helping the local club here get prepared for the Leaf River Enduro, and DS ride. You should put the DS ride on your calendar! Oct. 29th (or try the enduro Oct 23rd) Forest City Riders M/C
Have a great time on the Kettle Moraine ride. Take some pics if you can. I know you ride through an actual boat on that one Have fun , stay safe.

EDIT!!!!!!!! How did my reply to 2veedubs post end up on top of his original post????????????I just replied at 7pm LOL

Any Wisconsin/Illinois KLX's signed up for the Field and Forest dual sport ride this Sunday? If so see you there!

I live in the area where the ride is held, I did the first four rides. The last couple years grouse hunting up north with friends took priority. I look forward to riding it on the KLX as the prior years was on my plated KDX200. The KLX is definitely better on the road. I will look into the Leaf River event, sounds like a good road trip.

Hey2VW's , you're even closer to the Bucky DS ride just west of Madison. This is it's third year running, and the first one I have missed It's too late for registration for that one this year, but you should keep it in mind for next fall. Also check out the 200 mile DS ride in Wabeno WI and the golden eagles trail ride in Theilman MN. Those are a little farther away but worth the drive https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...-report-33748/

See you there~!

The day was beautiful, the ride was great. 95 miles in all and the KLX impressed me in its capability, as long as I didn't ask it to jump at speed. Was comfortable on the roads and handled the single track good considering the Dunlop 605 meats. It handled the hero sections but could use more ground clearance for them. I have run my KDX in the past and the KLX impressed me. Nothin like running through a fresh cut cork field at an indicated 67 mph. I would encourage anyone in WI/IL to give this ride a shot. Sign up early as it is capped at 125 riders.

Glad you had a good day! I plan to ride that one some day. The KLX does a pretty good job, considering it's a do everything bike. Any pics??

No time to stop for pics. We rode from 9 am to 2:45 pm with a 30 minute lunch. There were club members taking photos. They will be posted soon on Kettlemorainesportriders.com

I know what you mean about the pics. I used to stop and snap pics, but that got in the way of riding, so now it's a GoPro and I don't worry about it.
