Default Kawasaki Service Bulletin

Hi All,

Hope all doin' well, my bud took me to a bud of his who is an ex team kawasaki mechanic, talking about the KLX, he thinks it;s a great bike when de-restricted, he goes and pulls out a service bulletin from Kawasaki about the derestrictions, I'm sure all of you know this already but it's kind of different when you see an official bulletin from kawasaki telling you what to do..
I've posted it here for all to see.

Cheers
Chris.

That's funny. Even Kawasaki recommends removing the airbox lid.

Ok.......who's gonna try plugging the hole (if I remember right there was only one for air and one for the needle) in the slide and see what happens. I'd be crazy if that was better than drilling it larger....... lol we all went the wrong way perhaps.

No.

Those are not the holes they are refering to. The holes they are refering to are said to be at the top of the slide & should be plugged. In fact they go to the effort to say "do not plug or block the hole at the bottom of the slide" (I am paraphrasing). Obviously the US spec bike does not have the top-hole slide.

Ok .... I'm confused...top holes in the slide? Please try to explain this to an outboard two-smoke guy.

Never heard of it till now either. Perhaps someone with a "restricted" bike can take a picture of their slide.

There's a picture of the slide on the first post of this thread.
Interesting, the Kawa service sheet says go for a 138 main.
Oh. Thanks KLXer for finding it.
