k&n #
My bike is stock right now because my Muzzy is backordered, however, the K and N really made a difference climbing at higher altitudes in the mountains. The bike would not pull itself up the trail at around 8,500 feet in NM until I removed the top off the airbox and installed the K and N. As long as you keep the RPM's around 6000, it will climb no problem, the problem is when you have to let off the throttle to navigate a switchback and then start up a steep grade. I have ordered a lot of parts lately but I believe I ordered it from http://dirtbikediscount.com/index.cfm.
Some people believe the K and N does not filter as well as a foam filter, I have read many articles on the subject and have come to the conclusion that it is as good as any and I hate servicing foam filters.
I use the K and N on both my bikes, car, and truck. You might check into a UNI, which is foam and is supposed to have better air flow than the stock filter.

Only problem is you did 2 things at once remove the air box lid and installed the K&N, so your results are not valid. Not being nasty just saying facts. If you had done 1 mod at a time your results would be more useful. I am glad for you that you like it
