Why not just beat it out with a hammer and actually weld it?

Hey guys I just took the generator cover off to see how it looks behind it and damn te gash is big. I'm not sure why I am looking at behind the generator cover in the pic below. I'm guessing I have to put the wire and that tan color circled in the new generator cover. Any suggestions as to what I'm up to now ?

Uh huh. Somehow I believe you. Heck I bet you would complain if you were going to be hung with a brand new rope.

Hanging with any rope would be inhumane. I'd insist on top grade kevlar fibers.

Supa, you need to get a paper or downloaded manual and follow those instructions. No rocket science involved, but if you haven't done this job before, it's good insurance. You'll remove the stator there inside your cover, but I'd look closely to insure the puncture didn't damage the stator. You should be able to see if there's any damage when you remove it from the cover.

See. It's never good enough for Ol' TNC

Take lots of pictures as you disassemble. Also be careful of the locating dowel pins, sometimes they are loose enough that they may fall out .
Check your PM's supa

Dan, I'm getting concerned. You may be developing a bad case of hero worship here...Bwaaaah!...LOL!

Seriously though, your photoshop deals are freaking hilarious. I think it's my avatar that lends itself to so many variations. Don't quit.

Visitors are overrated. I do get out for a nice daily walk, however.

Ha hahaa ..............ouch.
Alfred E Newman can make anything funny, all I do is cut and paste with MS paint.
I crack myself up when I make them, so that's good enough for me.
