Default Just bought 2009 KLX250S, help identify 'mods' please

Hi all,
I am needing some help, i have just joined the KL250S club but previous owner has done some mods!!! Can any of you suggest what i do with them or make out what he's done to the exhaust. Oh and WTF is up with the graphics he has put on it, if your not endorsed by a company then why advertise them!!!!!!!

Ah I got this little bike for a 4 month trip im doing in Morocco over the winter. It will be on a motorcycle rack on the back of my old camper

i also have a few questions,
1, Will the exhaust off a KLX250R fit the bike, i have found one with no O2 sensor bit.

2, Should i just blank the O2 sensor, i have read that its better off the bike.

buy one of with one of these,

Unfortunatly yes, glued in place, it has to let less air in than the stock snorkle

I'm all for motorcyclist ingenuity, but that's a new one.

It doesn't look like the snorkel opening was modified, can you remove the CD? If so, you can replace the snorkel for like $15. It would appear the previous owner had some jetting issues and was trying to rectify it by restricting the airflow. I suspect you'll have to rejet if you take that CD off. You can also ride it without the snorkel, but it will be louder and a little more seat vibration.

I'm wondering what the FCR style throttle thing on the right side of the carb is? Maybe it's standard with FI

Cheapest slip on is the DG-R. I love mine.
No telling what has been done to the carb considering the monkey that owned it put a CD over the snorkel opening,,lol

I'm pretty sure that it's the FI version so I have no idea why you have carb jet??? Take the CD off of the lid and see how it runs. There are quite a few choices for a slip-on muffler( my FMF PC4 w/quiet tip isn't to obnoxious) so make a decision. The KLX250R is different so the pipe probably won't line up. Will the rubber inserts on the footpegs come off? If you are bent over when standing on the pegs a set of bar risers will help but you may need to modify the throttle and clutch cables to get enough slack.
Good luck on your journey.
