Default Jetting?

K. Here's my situation..
Kinda cold dampish weather today.. Drivin down the road about 5 to 10 minutes at about 6500 rpm steady speed after warmin the bike up for about 3 mins. When I go to slow down to take a turn, I go to chop the throttle as I gear down like I normally do, and the bike acts like it's flodded?? So after trying to chop it a bit I just leave it and gear down and let the bike idle.
So then after that I notice it's just acting worse than normal. As I chop the throttle, or come off the throttle and then come back on, it accelerate's and then a short pause of nothing, and then goes back to accelerating again. Feels like it's flooding, or almost feels as if at one point in the throttle there is no fuel being delivered.
It was especially contrary in the slow stuff in the woods manouvering around rocks and stuff, slowing down to an almost stop, and going... A few times in the slow stuff it would stall out on me if I let it. But at the same time it would idle fine if I didn't chop the throttle.
This acted like this before, and so I cleaned my air cleaner out, and it seemed to cure it. Now it's gone back to normal... Normal being not so smooth running.
I have a #128 jet installed, with the needle on the 3rd slot from the top, and a BG exhaust, KDX snorkle. Bike has 5000 kms on it, and only began acting contrary after re-jetting? I'm at sea level.

Gave all the info I think I could. Let me know if I forgot anything...
Any help is appreciated on what to do to fix it.

I'd pull thecarb and take a close look at the needle installation. Bounce it off of the drawing to make sure it's installed correctly. The fact that you are accelerating at all tells me your slide is moving. I'm guessing that the needle is way to high or not even seated into the needle jet.Take a lookdown the bore of your carburetor to make sure the needle is seated into the needlejet at the bottom of the bore.

Yeah, once you get it working properly that should dial it in better.I just wanted to get him running proplerly first. He's got enough air coming in and out ( BG and KDX snorkle) where one notch richer than normal on the needle isn't going to cause something as severe as he has right now.

change the needle to second position from top.

K cool! Thanks guys. I'll try it out today. Top of the needle being the stubbed end right? Not the needle end?

Just kinda for the record, at one point I did try taking the cover completly off, I went for a ride and it almost felt as if the bike was more BLAH! Like it took any pep the bike had, and kinda when I accelerated, aside from sounding funny, it was just like... BLAH.. ha, can't explain other than that.. So the airbox cover went back on...

K.. The carb is out, and the placement of the collar is changed.. Which end do I count from? 2 slots from the stubbed end, or the needle end?? I would like to know quick?
If it's counted from the stubbed end, the needlewas originallyin the 4th slot, and if it's counted from the needle end, it was originally in the 2nd slot?
Which end?
Oh.. and needle looked to be installed correctly? Nothing abnormal looking. To me anyway?

Kinda forgot...
Put the collar 2nd slot from the stubbed end, and it seemed to have cured it for the most part. I couldn't tell if when I was holding it at about 6k it was kinda loosing and gaining power slightly, or if it was just the wind.
Now it's good, but I kind of noticed a very small hickup as I accelerate hard. That seems to be the only thing acting up for now, but I only went on about a 5-10 km loop. So time will tell if changing the position made a difference for the good.

Yeah, it's from the stubby end. Wow, 4th notch is pretty darn rich! Glad to hear she's running better.

wow..I also noticed the same sort of hesitant throttle response/slight bogging and almost stalling when playing at slow speeds in the trails..in fact yesterday I was practising lifting the front end up and just the repetitiveness of doing that made it really noticeable...on the street it's great, but in th woods (where it really matters) the response is less than perfect. I have:

at sea level:
drilled out stock exhaust
clipon 4th slot of needle (from top)
132 main jet
app. 3x3 inch square hole in top of airbox (no snorkel)
FS 2.5 turns out

ShouldI also place the clip on the 3rd?..I did follow the jet kit instructions that said to put it on the 4th (comparing my exhaust to end cap removed)
