It's been awhile
Hey guys,it's been almost a yr since i've visited KF but your not forgotten.Just an update, I bought a new home last yr and life has been hectic, I still have my KlX motarded and my zrx1100,Getting married to my best friend in the world 8-21-2010 and she is learning to ride, she loves the big bike more I hate to say but was grinning ear to ear with the klx as well. Deej,I hope you and your wife still ride together and I hope my wife and I can enjoy many rides together as you do. I will be checkin in alot more now that things have finally slowed a bit and hope to see many of you old friends on too. Ride on Bros
Hey Man!!! It's good to hear from you. As far as my wife and I riding together, she seems to have lost her confidence. She hasn't rode the bike in a year. It sits in the garage and I start it up every week and ride it around the block. I need to see if I can get her back on the bike soon. I just renewed the tabs, so maybe I can guilt her into riding it. LOL
Howdy Hokie.
I'm not on as much as I used to be, but try to check in on you monkeys from time to time.
Old habits die hard, I guess. But I'm now two bikes removed from owning my KLX, here's my new ride these days:

I still look back on my KLX331 with fond memories, though. Seems almost a lifetime ago, but it's only been a few short years.
Anyway, glad to see you back.

Thats a sweet bike NB and glad to see some of you guys still on, someone could have said its been alomost a yr since my last visit here and I would have denied it until I seen the date myself.hahaha must be the old age thing. I hate to admit it but I did sell the moped and the old ct-90,my dad used both of them for awhile but being in his 70s he just didnt feel comfortable any more so he is sticking to his street-rod.
+1 I knew you were looking, but didnt know you pulled the trigger. Nice! How do you like it, still getting used to it? Is it plate-able?

The only downside I can fault it for is there's no kick start - it's e-start only. And the e-start generally has to crank the engine over a few times before it fires. By then, the rest of the guys on my hare scramble row are already halfway to the first turn.
So I'm still working out the start routine for dead engine hare scramble starts. Those dang 2-strokes are fired up and roosting forward before their kicker is even halfway down. If it had a kick start, one could use both e-start w/kick assist for a little quicker firing. That's what I did on my KTM and it worked better. But even that was still not as fast starting as my son's 200 XC-W 2-stroke, though.Overall, though, the engine is very smooth, the gearbox is very smooth, throttle response is awesome, power is nice and controllable or just crank on the throttle and it'll give you more of a thrill you like, the suspension seems really nice for off-road, and overall handling and rideability is superb. I'm very happy with it, it is everything I hoped it would be. With only a few minor flaws that I can live with.
It's not plated yet, but I'm working on it. I think it should go through, but my first attempt at the DMV was a no go due to an issue with the paperwork from the dealer. That is correctable, though. Hopefully I'll get that resolved within a few weeks.

Hot **** that's a great bonus! Transferring accessories onto a new bike is like knocking off a grand off the price! How about the BPD rad guards?
Keep the Motosportz! Just put mine on today. What a beauty!
