IMS tank w/'95 shrouds
Well I finally got all the parts for my project to install a new IMS tank and 1995 KLX shrouds.

Waiting for parts
After pulling all the wiring out toward the front, removing the welded wire brackets, removing the fan, and moving the spark plug coil up 1/2", the tank was mounted.

It is definitely a tight fit. Less than 1/2" to the radiator
I originally ordered two 800mm fans to mount, but the right side didn't have enough room so I had to order a 700mm fan.

I ordered push ties to mount the fans through the radiator fins, and they worked pretty well. However, I did tear a fin because I pushed the tie to fast. Didn' seem to hurt anything. No leaks.

I had to add about 8" of wiring to get the fan relay back on it's mount.

I also had to elogate my seat mounts to get the bolts to fit.

I found this flange bolt in my tool box and it fit the seat perfectly. I did grind down the top a little to make it easier to slide the seat on and off.

Then I mounted some rad guards to protect all my hard work.

And the final touch. The new shrouds:

Just need this weather to warm up and I'm gone.

Very nice, DS! Like Magoo said in another thread, though, you might want to put a little cushioning between the radiator and the fan so that it doesn't wear through with vibration - it's just thin aluminum back there. It's been a while since i did mine, but I think I used a bead of black RTV sealant. The foam tape that Magoo suggested might be even better.
