IMS to consider tank for the 09 generation bikes!
Yeah I am, I just didn't want to offend the people that didn't care, but I will do that right now.
Looks like someone already beat me to it. It's always better if people police their own threads.
OK i can sleep at night now knowing that i will get less spam mail.
It's a bitch when i have to separate all the **** in one file, and how to make explosives in another. Not sure where i would be able to fit the dirtbike spam.

Yeah like DKlogic said I apoligize for offending anyone. I was just trying to help the cause by noting my name on the list which did not match up with my name here. Also I will point out that although we had at least two others on this forums list that said they would get two tanks I think I was the only one on Chucks list down for two. So Please everyone that posted here make sure you contact Chuck also.
I just joined this forum 5 minutes ago, first post. Looks like a great place.
I put my down payment on my new 2009 red 250 this morning, picking it up first of next week. I did a lot of net browsing in the two days before that, since I found the bike I ended up getting, and this topic was the one that stuck out. Aside from the hard starting and power mods, that is.
Couple of things:
-Here in NS, we need to have our scooters MVI'd (Motor Vehicle Inspection) before we can plate them for the highway. I think one requirement of that is a steel tank. How many other areas have that requirement? I know next door in NB, they don't even have MVI's to deal with. Hmm, maybe I should move.
-Despite that, I am 90% certain I would want one of these tanks, unless I happen to find a viable alternative. Since I don't even have the bike yet, I'll spend a bit more time researching, but I am 100% sure that the stock capacity is not enough.
Can't wait to get on it - should be great for what I was looking for: chasing my ever growing kids around the endless trails out back of our place, and getting the odd ride in with the buddies.

Haven't been down east for a few years but we do get down every now and again, spent a few summers going to Pugwash for a reunion party of ex-Montrealers many years ago too.
I'm about an hour away from Pugwash. Nice place, especially in the summer time.
The Inspection issue would not stop me from getting one of these tanks, I told the sales guy so much yesterday (put the steel one on to get it inspected). I just wasn't aware of that, and was wondering if it was the same everywhere or if people knew.
I'm going to get myself fired learning all about the bike at this place though.
