One word, "GUTLESS."
20 years ago when I aspired to owning my first trail bike, (a 125cc as the law restricted learners to that cc,) the offerings were great. Kawasaki had the KDX125 and KMX 125. Yamah the DT125LC and Honda had the MTX 125. Suzuki also faired with the PE125 and the TS125X.
All of the bikes were 2 stroke, put out a healthy 30 horse power, when tweaked, and would run all day in the hands of a 16 year old. They were also 30-50LB lighter than the 2010 models Kawa' just unvailed. What's the point getting excited. They're heavy and slow and will cost $$$ to squeeze even a few horse power more from their modern choked up engines.
If you must have a 125 the get one of these and be happy.
