Default Ignition system hop-up?

Anyone know if there's any hop-ups for the ignition systems for our bikes available?

CDI off the earlier model 250s will give more ignition advance. Only mod I'm aware of that is plug and play. Vortex ignitions in AUS have made some custom map CDI units (10 maps, oooooh yeah!) They are order only and $$$, but if you're after near 40 HP dyno figures from the 250 then it's the only way.

G'day Woz, how goes it?

Wasn't them some talk of a Japanese unit?
Had to be re-wired or something?

G'day "Daddy!"

We get the Jap' unit on Aus bikes (sweet.)

You're right though. The unit would require some loom mods to retro' fit it.

BTW Neil. Lovin' the new tyres I've got fitted. Pirelli. Will get a few more KM on em and then add a report here. Most notable is the reduction in stopping distance. The front bites so hard on the brakes (freaky) it's like I've gone to a 320mm front disc. No more scary overshoots on loose corners, and you know it's loose here right.

No so happy with the N1TC needle I trialed. Gave some more snap in the mid range (drift corners with ease) but too rich up top (Lost about 50 km of range on a tank of petrol.) I'll go back to the N1RX needle as it was pretty sweet and I value the extra range over the crisper midrange. It came with the 300 kit so I'll give it another trial when I finally get the extra 50 cc's installed.

Doesn't look like Vortex offers it for the KLX. Bummer.
