Default Ideas on lowering KLX

What do you guys think about lowering the KLX ride height?
-Any problems with lowering it an inch or two?

Read through.

Most people still don't understand how they work, or what they do.

I put 1" lowering links on mine and raised the front forks as much as I could without hitting the handlebars (about 3/4"). It did soften the rear a little, so I put a little bit more preload on the rear spring. I cannot notice any difference in handling from stock. Works great. If you lower any more than that, you'll need to shorten your kickstand.

Adding preload does not make the spring harder.
Preload is almost like a ride height adjuster, not spring rate adjuster.

Type in klx250s lowering on Ebay someone is selling threaded adjustable links. I want a set so I can fine tune ride height, I don't want to buy a pre set link and get stuck at some weird ride height when I can spend 30$ more and be comfy.

Make sure the spring tension is set correctly for your ride weight.
My bike was setup for a much heavier rider. It was tall and intimidating. After setting it for my ride weight, no lowering was needed.

Try leaving it alone for a year. You'll probably get used to it. You won't loose your clearance or the factory geometry. I'm 5'7" and my bike is a little tall for me but I really don't notice it anymore.

I'm 5'6". I chose to shave a little off the foam off the seat rather than tweaking the factory geometry of the suspension.

Exactly, the klx is already a low seat height 'girls' bike. At first the klx seemed a little high but I got used to it, 30" inseam, now my klx has raising links and a guts racing High Seat.....shoot my ktm640 adv is up at 37".

Go ride in dirt and get used to it.

LOL!...no kidding on the stock height. I've had skyscraper tall dirt bikes for a long time and just came from a KLR650 with suspension mods that raised it even further. The KLR is stupid tall just like lots of real dirt bikes...no, the KLR is not a real dirt bike. With 11" of travel, I thought the KLX250 would be like other bikes I'd ridden...tall, tip-toe height. I'm 6' tall but have the long torso/shorter leg build of real men. I was shocked to find how how flat footed I can sit on the saddle of this bike. I even have stiffer front and rear springs. I love the setup on this bike, but F. Mullet...I hate that you referred to it as a girls bike.
