Default I think I have problem

I may have fallen in love with a Versys. [sm=Awwww.gif]

My local Kawasaki dealer finally got a Versys and the o8' KLR650 on the show floor. The Versys felt so right. The seat was more supportive. I could ride upright or crouch rocket it. The instrument cluster was nicely setup (Analog tach w/ digital speedometer layout). Thou the headlight is a little ugly, but who cares when it feels so right. All the controls were easily reachable and didn't stressthe relaxation of the arms or legs.

This could spelltrouble for me. Too bad the dealer wouldn't let me drive it. I wonder if itisjust as nimble as the KLX. I better order some slick tiresand that Renazco seat. Or there might be a new bike for me to ride in the future. [&:]

I feel your pain man. I have been going crazy for about 2 months after sitting on a KTM 530-EXC-R. I will get one but it'll be a year or so til I can afford it.

Go to a dealer that will let you ride one. That's a bunch of garbage.

That new BMW looks like the ticket for me as well, I'm being told it may not arrive till the fall though.

I just picked up a Versys about two weeks ago to use as a commuter. What a great little bike, you get so much for the price. It is light, fueling is spot on, the way the engine delivers the power you would swear at had 100 HP and not 60 at the rear wheel and handles well. Mind you, it isn't a ZX6 in the handling department, and there is no way this bike is EVER going off road, despite its long travel suspension, but as an everyday real world bike, it just plain rocks.

Almost all motorcycle dealers are like that. Most will allow you to start them, but not drive them. Its a insurance issue. One drop of the bike and it loses a huge value hit.

I'm trying to stay away the Kawi dealer now. If I go back, I might not be riding off on the KLX but the Versys. Hopefully I can hold out until next year. Save up and possible own 2x Kawi's.
