Good grief...a 110 TM rear and a Parker Desert front...what an awful combination. I hope you live through the experiment.

Well, I have a 120 TM II rear and a TMII front, so it shouldn't be too terrible. We'll see if I survive.

Is the Parker Desert being phased out?

Not that I know of. They're sometimes backordered because there is a decent demand...especially the front. Even Dirt Rider magazine claimed it to be their favorite front DOT tire.

My bike shop had to search around to find someone who carried it and I noted it wasn't available at most of the regular web sites. He's the one who asked if it was fading away.

I prefer the UPS WOman that delivers my packages. I have started to order a lot of things that I dont even need since she took over the route.

Well, I'm ahead of deej. Today I got my new Kenda Parker Desert front and Kenda Trakmaster rear both installed, along with my freshly serviced rear shock. Utah here we come at the end of the month. I'll bet deej's Trakmaster still has its little blue wrapper on it.

Rear Tire installed, and I changed the tube as well, the stem was getting rusty and the tube looked a little cracked by the nut. I replaced it with the Kenda Heavy Duty tube, and let me tell you, that was the hardest tire to change EVER!!! Sidewall was really hard to bend up and get my hand in to get the stem through. I am going to order one of those tools that you connect to the stem and it has a rope on it. I'm never doing that again, it took me two hours to change the tire! Baruuuutal!!! The tube is like 4 times as thick. It better last another 15,000 miles.
