Default How much for a new klx250s?

I'm looking at a 2014. How much should I pay for it?

The list price is $5099.00 They add all that freight, etc. I can't imagine how I could talk them down under $5000. Other experiences?

Kawasaki have reduced de MSRP of the KLX this year or last year. When I bought mine it was more around 6000$. I was able to get my bike for 5000$ new but it was at the end of the year 2010 and the 2011 were probably on their way. I would try to get at least a 500$ sale. For a better deal look for a new 2013.

I don't know what the tax and title are for NM, unless there is some deal from Kawasaki they only have around $600-700 margin at full list minus any additional shipping or set up costs they have to pay out. Keep in mind they do need to keep the doors open and eat too.

I'm thinking you should be able to offer the price of around $4400 plus tax and title fees. This is a low ball price, but you will find out pretty quick what they need for the bike with their counteroffer. Have your check book out or some money to seal the deal if they give you a good price - and let them see it. As I say, unless Kawasaki has some promotional deal - and you may ask first before making your offer - the price I suggested is at or below cost, they don't get them shipped in or build out of the crate and set up for free. Thing is it is close enough to get them working, not walk away laughing.

One other thing that may affect things will be how sales of the KLX250 are for your area. If they sell every one they get, you won't get an extremely low price. They have the luxury of waiting for the next buyer.

NM tax should be 3% of the sales price and registration fees should be way less than $100 the first year. Annual registration on my 2007 are less than $20 every year.
