I'm an urban commuter...most miles at about 35-60 MPH
2 DS rides a year.

I'd love to know what work you high-milershave doneon your bikes.
Valves, chain, brakes, clutch, etc.

 

sorry, i was ten miles off. as far as maintenance goes i believe these bikes are bulletproof in the fact that ive done nothing but normal oil changes and plug changes and that is it and she still runs as strong as ever and is making no noises any different from day one except the exhaust note. i took it in around 10,000 miles and they looked at the valves and they didnt need any adjustment. other than that, enginewise and overall, these bikes like to be ran everyday it seems like. i have no complaints at all and this was one of the best purchases i have ever made since gas is at about 3.85 here in san diego. from a high mileage guy that does the occaisional dirt i can give my opiion on tires also which is the kenda 270 frnt and rear, much like the klx, very long lasting and durable. and i gotta give a shoutout to twobros that exhaust is nasty , i love it and forget about putting a tip on it, theres no such thing as a thumper thats too loud.

Best I can tell my 06 has 7973 miles. First 1700 were on the original speedo and then it was replaced with a Vapor speedo. I've put about 1000 miles on it since 2 Jan 2008 (the day I bought it).

 

1163 thanks to a ride this morning. Bought in OCT 07. Kind of hard to ride in Western PA through the winter..until today 75 degrees, there has only been a few days decent for riding.
