Australian CDI? more power? whats up with that? anyone GOT DETAILS?

Don't know about the 09, but the 07 is designated KLX250R not KLX250S. Racing...Soft, or sport? LOL

 

The earlier D models got the best CDI. 5 degree advance at 1700 rpm and then 40 degree at 3000 rpm. The AUS R model gets 5 degree advance at 1300 rpm and 35 degree at 5000 rpm. The 09 S model gets 10 degree advance at 1300 rpm and 25 degree at 5000 rpm (AUS 09 S model gets 10 degree at 1300 and 35 degree at 5000.)

Careful about those Barnett springs. A guy that used to frequent this forum installed their springs and when he found chunks of steel in his gearbox, he kept looking for the source and found that 90% of his Barnett springs had literal broken into pieces.

While I agree with the pinciple of beefing-up the clutch when you add power, I would hesitate to go with Barnett springs.

i have a feeling that my clutch springs have been changed because my clutch is stiffer than my friends drz400

i my just change the springs anyways

BTW, it's not plug and play. The CDI on my 07 has a different plug to the USA 07.
