Default How to load your dirtbike alone

Since I ride alone, I have to improvise.
P.s.
I don't drive my bike on freeways.

Pogiboy - I can't load your videao - says it's private.

I use 2 ramps. One for the bike and one for me. Put the bike in first and just walk it into the back of the truck. Hopefully, the KLX will prevent me from ever having to load the bike again. It is a dualsport...

If I have to load alone, I usually just get a running start towards the ramp, and leap into the bed of my truck as I push it up the ramp.

Works every time!!

Except that one time I missed the leap and the bike tumbled out of my truck breaking the mirrors and blinkers.

Other than that, works every time!!! hahahaa

That's how I load my bike. It's a little hairier riding it out backwards later though.

Man, that dude had some nice throttle and bike control on that load manuever. I don't know how many front pickup bed rails are bent or rear cab windows broken from doing it the wrong way. That's harder than it looks, and I think that's a short bed pickup.

Yeah, I either use two ramps and put the bike in first gear and then just walk beside it and drive it up the ramp. Or I have a ramp and a step stool that also doubles as a bike stand.

Same with backing it out, just put it in gear and use the clutch to modulate how it rolls out backwards.

The only thing I can say it that I have always been taught to not trust how much weight your tailgate can handle. The tailgate cables can break pretty easily and if you are on the bike, that is a lot of weight and would really hurt if it failed.

I never thought of that. But I have no choice. I'm only 140 pounds. Can't even push my bike even on very small incline. Wish theres some way my bike could loose significant weight lol.
