How do you use your KLX
All the shiny bike guys around here are nasty they have no respect. The other day I was in town in a 25 mph zone doing the speed limit from out of no where I get passed by a harley and then he proceeds to flip me the bird then he took off. Since then I don't even bother waving to any one on shiny bike anymore they're just plain rude. I was also in a parking lot once when a guy on a custom chopper pulled up next to me and told me to get a real bike and trade my play toy in. I'm the one with the real bike, mine has more uses than those shiny bikes you can look at yourself in. I hope no on here takes offence to that. But the harley guys in my area just really **** me off. Next time that happens tell him this joke: What's the difference between a hoover and a Harley........The position of the dirt bag. I got nothing against guys that ride Harley's as long as they leave their egos at the door. As far as the waving thing, I usually wait to see if I get the wave before I look stupid and wave first. I know that sounds one sided, but the majority of big bike riders are pretty cool, but there is the occasional "dirt bag" Sorry no offense to Harley guys, just an observation.
Mostly back and fourth to work and some side trails during the week but all off road on the weekend with a buddy of mine... I will take some more actions shots next time.. i just get caught up in all the fun and forget about the photos....

The Harley riders around here are just mostly middle age guys going through mid life crisis. They are usually normal people who just happens to be the most unskilled & atrocious riders on the planet.

Actually most of the time, the non-riders on the Harleys ride so slow and are so unskilled that they are usually just in the way and I pass them the moment I get a chance. This morning I heard on the radio that there was a police chase in NYC which started when a guy in a pickup on the Triboro bridge just started to pass in a zig zag pattern a bunch of bikers riding in a staggered formation. Only in NY right? I know it's bad but I kinda chuckled. When some old geezer in a pick-up passes me in frustration while I'm riding my bike, just shoot me OK! [&:]

My KLX250S is my ride the trails of the Ocala National Forest machine!
There are 400,000 acres of unexplored (to me) National Forest just waiting for me to venture out and fully enjoy!
Now that I can ride almost 200 miles on the KLX250, I intend to use it like it was intended!
Of course, this past weekend, I took it up to the plains of Tellico in Tennessee and rode it all over the place! It kept up with the rest of the bikes there, mostly KLR650's and I had a ball!
It is a mountain goat!

I heard of this, he was a guy in a honda and he almost nailed some motorcycle police that were escorting the ride. They opened fire on him and it scared the hell outta all the bikers

that reminds me, last year my buddy (r6) and i (cbr600rr) were riding from panama city to daytona for bike week. at a gas station a f250 with a enclosed trailer full of harleys pulls up, one of the guys walks right by us and says, "one day you two will grow up and get a real bike." i went on to say, "one day you'll get your bikes of that trailer and actually ride them somewhere!" he was pissed but i couldnt stop smiling.

Haha you have more details than me. I just caught a little bit of the news running off to work. A car driver gets fed up with the non-riders on Harleys slowing down traffic. Car driver starts passing the bikers one by one in a zig-zag. Almost takes out a cop, gunfire, and finally a police chase. All on the Triboro bridge. Only in New Yawk! [&:]
I actually like to have even more fun with my Harley friends.
Simply put, I start discussing the similarities between my KLR650 and their Harley-Davidson rides. I tell them that we share the same 21 inch spoked wheel of the FX bikes - Springer, Softail Standard, Night Train and Duece also share. I talk about the rear tire size that we both, up until this year, shared - 130 wide! Then if you want to see them start turning colors, I talk about the fact that we share the same carburetor - a Keihin CVK40. Now that will start even the most staunchly devoted Harley-Davidson fanatic into spasms! A Jap carb on his American Made motorcycle! Of course once you have them on the ropes, you need to finish them off, right?
Ask them where their parts are made? Many of the electrical parts are made in of all places, China. Many of the bearings are made in Mexico. Worked right, you can actually tell them that their bike is no faster than your 650 cc single cylinder motor! That's when the fun really begins!
