i haven't heard of that one either.

 

I really don't care how cold it gets. I've been know to ride in the 10's*F range. As long as the engine starts, its all good. What really gets people is that I'm still wearing a MX style helmet is freezing weather.

 

I went out 2 night in the first snow...............

Started the bike after 2 nights non starting..


Had to to hold the front brake/choke wide open to get it to start...Rocking back and forth..She finally caught.....I doubted her..........

Finally started.........2 mins of trying......Wotta blast 2night...I was the winter leaf king.....Slow on the corners and the king on the straights..........Nothin like road spray in the face...........

I have used scuba gloves, 2-3mm when it gets cold, they keep my hands toasty as long as they stay dry, and you can still move the fingers pretty well.

Id say mid 40s is my cut off on road riding... but if its just woods... high 30's. I haver herd the latex glove thing.... i herd it for out in the snow though.....they just trap all your heat in. I have a pair of MSR Cold Pro gloves, windproof, water proof, and comfy. Awsome gloves for cold weather.

So far, my coldest this year has been in the low 30's. I rode in yesterday just because it was extremely foggy and wanted to see what it was like on the bike. Rained all day. The house felt nice and warm when I got home!

I have a Tourmaster jacket with a liner that's awesome in the cooler weather. My gloves and handguards seem to work for my shorter commute. The only thing I found out fast is that the dirt helmet with goggles leaves your nose right out there to enjoy the wind chill. I am thinking of getting a foam clown nose to wear on the colder days.

just put the knobbies on for the 24 hr starvation ridge race this weekend
its supose to get in to the low 30's and last year we saw some ice.

knobbies work in snow so I'm not stoppin'

 

Studs work better.... studs are insane in the traction department.

Just get a street helmet for cold weather.
