My 2 cents, I like Honda's but this bike make no sense in the dirt.
1. It has only 1ft-lb more torque, you never have much torque out of a 250, go with the HP.
2. No clickers on the suspension, got it hooked up on the hard pack, no way to soften it up at all short of opening it up and changing fluid/springs.
3. Any mods require FI mod, although it would generally run better with better mileage.
Otherwise pretty even, anything you can do to one, you can do to the other.

Agreed!!!

They should have made this a 300cc supermoto version, that way people won't complain so much about the non adjustable suspension and the FI. Just a nice commuter bike. I almost bought this instead of the klx250sf, sure glad I didnt.

I weighed mine (with full FMF Q4 pipe) on a commercial scale. 275 lbs.

Wow! That's great! How much fuel was in the tank? If I can get the "curb weight" that low on a KLX250S, I'm going to get one!

I like the CRF250L, but it's too heavy for my intended riding. Also, I really like the suspension and the upgrade potential of the KLX250S.

What did you remove to get the weight that low?

I removed the rack, signals, and added a light battery, but the big one was the exhaust. That muffler is HEAVY.

That was with at least half a tank of gas.
