homemade grip wind deflectors
Made some wind deflectors and thought you guys might be interested in how easy (and cheap) they were. Might offer mild brush protection, but that's not the intent (90% street for me).
Will let the pics tell the story. Included a Shadow shot because it shows the bracket better. It's common aluminum stock you can get from Lowe's or HD. Plastic garbage cans are everywhere.

Now all you will need to complete this ensemble are some of Deej's MUD FLAPS FOR THE FRONT FENDER!
I think that he used rubber for his mod.
Regards, and thanks for sharing the photos,

Wow they look awesome. And Rod is right, you need some of these bad boys. Keeps the mud off the engine and spray from climbing over the front fender. Plus it gives the bike that "old school enduro" look.
Skooter, Welcome to this good place. Very innovative. I like that as much as I like the price and the do it yourself concept.
I have just this afternoon removed the 'smog' crap from the KLX250s along with the backfire screen and had just come into the computer room to get the small vac to be sure I didn't leave any of the little pieces of screen in the air box before I buttoned things up. The removal was pretty simple as they have said on this forum along with the Adv Rider and SunCup forums.
Take care and keep it going. Lotta changes to be made.

Good job, man! I like seeing that kind of ingenuity. Got a good laugh from the first pic though. With that bucket setting in front of the cutlery set, I thought you were about to go full hillbilly on us
"Full hillbilly on us". Now, THAT"S funny! Those hand fairings are a very clever use of commonly available materials! I'm going to do something similar for the rear-most part of the front fender of my XT225. That thing flings mud all up and down your legs and onto the engine.
