Thumbs up High Flow Snorkel

I decided to remove the existing snorkel on my 2009 KLX250S as the first part of my modifications to my bike. When i was removing it my first thought was that this thing must act as a Scoop on a cars hood, which helps bring air into the airbox through the use of aerodynamics. Thanks for sharing the info on the high flow snorkel. I feel better about installing one of these on my bike rather than not having anything at all.

Wow, that's pretty neat, thanks for this bump, nick. I hadn't seen this before.

As for the aerodynamics of it... the whole shebang is stuffed under the seat, so I don't believe there is direct airflow to the snorkel or airbox via the movement of the bike, so much as the ambient air under the seat and around the sides of the bike. So IDK that this snorkel would suck in more air than no snorkel, but it would definately suck in about as much since the opening is as big as no snorkel.

I think it would definately be great for those that mudcrawl in deep puddles and creeks, though.

You are actually better off having the air intake in a calm place so htere is less turbulance in the air box not rammed in
