Hey VFR, How'd the Clarke install go??
Well, I'm glad you asked.
Everything went well. The finish on tank was really good. I checked the fittings and all looked smooth and sealed.

So I test fitted the shrouds and seat to the tank. That looked good so then I test fitted the tank to the bike.

next I marked where the shrouds came to and put some green vinyl tape on the tank. Actually during my test fit I didn't see that this was going to be a problem but because of all the other installs that I have seen I did it anyway.

Shrouds installed ... so far so good .....

Seat on and all put together

While I did find that the seat didn't cover as much as before I really didn't have the gap that I have seen on other installs. I did spend a lot of time extending the front seat mount on the tank and also had to widen out the bracket on the seat to fit. I wonder if some of the installs are not getting the seat in the top bracket.

That's it! I'm very pleased with the results.

very well done. thats the best fit i've seen i think. so the brass fittings dont touch the frame or anything? i know that was a concern.
The frontfitting is touching the crossover frame piece, but it didn't seem to be an issue. Since nothing moves I didn't think it was something to be concerned with.
Looks good! But your garage, lift, and all those tools to build a bike from scratchreally suck. And all you other 10 or 12 bikes in your suck garage really suck too!
lol Man I would live in your garage lol

The clarke tank does come with a plastic cap but this one is the anodized aluminum ventless cap.
But I was refering to my red anodized oil fill cap.
