HELP! stator causing my starting problem?

yep it is.

the bolts had come loose and unwound all the way. 1 snapped and the other 2 were hitting inside the engine.

any ways to some damage had been done to the stator its self. couple of wires are broken on one side. is it worth me soldering them back to gether or just buying a new stator. sorry no photos camera is stuffing up

soldered the stator back but it is fairly damaged. a new stator is 400 odd so im seeing if this works first

Worth a crack for sure.
Can't hurt and it just might work.
Good luck.

If you can't repair it yourself, you could call up some place like Trail Tech and I bet they'd fix it for a lot cheaper than you could buy a new one.

Good thought Brian but I doubt he wants to send it to the states for repair.

Doh, totally missed the location. Surely there's someone in Aus that can do it, though.
