Alright, I got my parts yesterday and I finally put the bike together. The bike ran good for about 5 minutes and then it started stalling. I noticed that everytime I popped the fuel filler cap open, it would run good for another 5 minutes. There are 3 vent lines underneath the fuel tank that I plugged up. Could that be the problem? I am willing to do a write up but I dont have a good camera and plus I need to fix this bug first.

Those three fittings on the bottom of the tank are breathers. Vent them to where the carb vents end.

The vent in the middle spills fuel out if not covered. Has anyone done this mod with their 09?

It is from a catch part of the tank. That vent will spill fuel.

The owners manual explains to not over fill the tank. That is where that fuel goes.

So do I hook up the other two vents to the carb?

Ok I did as you said and the bike wouldn't start. I think just gonna reinstall everything back together. Unless someone here with an 09 CA-US model has made this work.

Your causing a vapor lock in the tank by plugging the vent hoses. Leave the hoses connected to the tank and route the unplugged ends down to where the carb' breather hoses end (pink hoses) down by the rear shock bottom linkages. the smog system has nothing to do with the tank vent or overflow hoses.
