Help Posting Photos!
I am still trying to figure out the easiest way to post photos directly into a thread. I did get one in showing the extended portion of our great new skid plates but it showed up as an attachment. This was using Photoshop and took some time to figure out the way to resize. Tried Photobucket but did not want to work for me. I'm pretty lame on the computer! Also, can anyone help with posting previous threads if it answers the current question? Do you just copy and paste? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Oh, while I am showing ignorance I have to ask, what is P.W.I.?
Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
Matt

Hi Marty,
Thank you for the link. Looks like it has already helped some folks with posting some fine photos. (except for that poor lost dog. Yuck!). I will read through this evening and go from there.
Thanks again,
Matt

mmmm... marty i forgot all the nice pics on that thread.... thanks for reminding me...lol
Here's a tip for posting a single picture that you want to display in your message, instead of having it appear as an attachment:
The typical approach is to upload your picture to some other photo website (e.g. Photobucket, etc.), then use the [ image ] tags with the URL to the photo pasted between the two tags.
If I want to post a single picture, I'll check the "Embed picture in post" checkbox and click the "Click here to upload!" link at the bottom of the message window. This pops up the dialog box where you enter the local path of the image you want to upload, then click Ok. The forum software then does it's usual attachment thing when you save the message.
The trick is to then edit your message. At the bottom of the message, you'll see the [ image ] tags with a URL that starts off with "local://upfiles/...". Simply edit this and change "local://" to "https://www.kawasakiforums.com/" and your image will display as a picture instead of as an attachment.
You can quote this message to see the tags that display this image:

Note that this only works with a single image ... if you want to post multiple images, you'll need to take the Photobucket approach.

EDIT: Marty - Don;t know how I missed your other thread ... it's GREAT! I'll post this message in that thread, too.
