Help with adjusting Front Brake KLX 250H' 06
 

Hi folks, was hoping to get some assistance with my front brake adjustment. Im finding I'm needing to bring the brake lever in alot more and apply more pressure to apply some effective braking.... do I need to bleed it? Pads are fairly new. Any help greatly appreciated!

To bring the lever in adjust the screw on the lever to suit. If you want more effective braking you need a stainless steel brake line

More, compared to what? Compared to earlier or compared to some other bike?

Mushy brake lever like that is usually a sign of air in the brake system or maybe a stuck caliper.
Before upgrading the line (SS line is an upgrade) take apart/inspect/re-assemble the caliber and very carefully bleed the brake line.

What color is the brake fluid? If it is not clear but dark brown it may just be time to bleed the brake with new fluid. This will be the cheapest and most easy thing to do.

fluid change is in your manual, but I prefer more fluid changes. as mentioned, lines are a key item if you are having issues with fade. The flex of the stock lines contribute to the mushy feeling
Do the fluid change and proper bleeding first to see where this ride is at. good luck

I've not changed the fluid ever in 14,000 miles. They work perfect!
