Guys, Ive been ontop of this story,, its horrible... I havent seen WestOz on since, I hope everything is ok,, Aussies stay safe, My thoughts go out to the people in need!!!
No probs over this end although the mercury is pushing 40oC this week. Gave what I could spare to the relief effort. Truly a devastating weekend for the state of Victoria, not forgetting the devastation inflicted by the floods in Queensland. Man, this is wild country.
You know it was bad when the firefighters are going the other way. Those flames were pushing 200 feet at times according to firefighters on scene. That's some scary s@#t right there.

morning guys. to give you an update from down here in victoria it's been a somber week. all our sunsets have turned a sort of illumenesant orange/pink from the smoke haze.
although i live down on the peninsula, most of my holiday destinations have gone up in smoke which isn't the best. i haven't lost any friends from up north thanks heavens for that. my sis went out with her fire brigade to fight the fires on wednesday and all is well, they are getting on top of a few fires but some of it is just a waiting game as the terrain is just too tough to get anything but a helicopter in too.
good news is, is that they arrested two people in su****ion of lighting one of the fires in gippsland so if found guilty i hope they get a public stoning.
if you want to have a look at some satellite photos of the smoke just go to
www.ninemsn.com.au or http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun and have a look.
