Default Headlight Guard Question

Hey fellas:

Does anyone know if the TCI headlight guard from a KLX 400 will fit my 2011 KLX 250? It looks like it will but I'm not sure?

https://tciproductsusa.com/index.php...roducts_id=653

Any advice would be most appreciated. I e-mailed them twice with no response.

They did respond from TCI and said "NO" it won't fit since there's a different headlight cowl or frame. Maybe I hear a "custom fabrication" coming down the tracks?

Before I go tearing up my garage looking for my welder and some chicken wire (just kidding), does anyone make a headlight guard (metal, not plastic or tape) for the KLX 250? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

If you do weld one up, would you be so kind as to take measurements so we can duplicate yours?

Any cheap picture frame with lexan/plastic element. Measure up aginst the headlight and cut it out. Fit it to the lamp with 4 X 3M adhesive velcro dots. Mines lasted over 10000 km and has seen plenty of roost. Lamp still in one piece with not a single chip/crack.

You can see mine in the pic' below.

I adore the look of a metal wire mesh light guard... however for actual lens protection, I feel like 99% of the time, a solid plastic cover is actually more effective unless you've got really small mesh

Default headlight cover

+! with the Ozmeister

Unfortunately, I waited for my 2nd headlight to put on a similar cover.(:
