Default Have you ever hit a MOOSE??

Yup on our way home last my family and I were on our way home at about 10:00PM. WHAM we hit a 1000-1500lb Bull moos with our Dodge SX2.0 (neon). I was in the passanger seat when the moose hit (Passenger side). F@#K'd my car up good!!! thank god for collision insurance! no one got hurt execpt the moose the RCMP had to put him down. Just on my way out now to pick up the rental car. Thank god I was not on the KLX at the time, and I also thank god that my family is safe!

one of my friends did while touring in a band.............
5 people in a Datsan B-210 pulling a u-haul trailer with all their "Stuff".

took the legs out and smashed in the whole top- they had to be cut out of the car- no major injuries; just really uncomftable for about 3 hours until help arrived.

I own a shipping co. and had a driver quit last yr. Had a run to make Just outside of Louisville Ky. and cranked 2 deer at the same time in a Straight truck $16,000 in damages. That was fun.

Dang your lucky and am glad no one but the moose got hurt! I have seen some nasty pictures of moose vs. car.

My Dad many moons ago hit a Deer with his KZ750 Spectre early one morning. Not a mark on the bike but the deer died. Figure that one out.

Deej you would not want to eat the tough old Bull..You need to shoot them young for the meat.. this one was a trophy Bull!! I am glad we seen the moose and sweved or else it wold have crushed the whole roof in. as It was the moose only crushed the side of the car that I was on!! I just got my first digital camara when I go get my stuff from the car I will take some pic's of the damage and try to post them!!

No, but I bitch-slapped a groundhog once...lol

Glad you're ok.

My mom and step-dad have a place on Brooks Island on Lac Laronge. On the ride from Saskatoon to La Ronge he has me watch for moose and deer...which ain't easy at 2AM after 12 hours on planes (I live in Virginia).
