Default Harbor Freight Jack Upgrade!

OK Folks I just thought I would pass my experience with my latest purchase along to all the folks. I decided to retire "old faithful " and spend a little cash on a new jack for the garage. I looked online at the Sears Craftsman model $89(my first choice) and found some very poor reviews for a Sears product. Wal-Mart also carries a similar model for $69 in the A/C delco brand. So I decided to check Harbor Freight onlinean found a model similar to the Sears model for $59 (price keeps going down!) So I went to Harbor Freight to look at the jack and found one even cheaper $49 I bought It and It works like charm, easy to assemble out of the box and I used it to do the dogbone link change .

That is the exact same jack that I bought at Auto Zone except mine is blue. The blue paint must be more expensive because mine cost $79 :-)

The only thing that I don't like about it so far is that it doesn't jack the front up as far as the back. I end up putting blocks on the jack to get the front up off the ground. I'm trying to figure out something better since with the blocks the bike is not very stable.

I agree with the height restriction, I thought maby a "c" channel of some sort added to the lift padsmight add some lift.......And as far as the pipe goes I ned to take the bike to the DMV for my test and I am holding off on most of the mods until then, I had enough trouble getting this bike into Kalifornia so I want no problems when I go for my riding test!

Got a yellow one off Ebay for $69 shipping included...................

I know what ya mean about the front not coming up as far, I just did a tire change and just put a bungee from the front over the bike to the back and it lifted the front up just fine with nothing in the way.
