After seeing Deej's camera setup I tried to do something similar with wedging my tripd between the cross bar pad and bars. It worked ok...ish. Anyway here's a 15 minute video of hitting the trails near the house, ignore the clatter as my tripod makes quite a bit of noise, it was never intended to be on a moving vehicle, same for the skewed view in a few places.

Think I'm getting seasick watching that one. BRANCH! Oooops, don't forget to duck. BRRRRR! Looks really squirelly in the snow guy - Seems like the bike wanted to take you into the trees!! Isn't the snow why they make snowmobiles?

 

Alot of the squirrelyness was the cam moving around, I coudln't get it to stay put. I may live in the frozen north east but our snowfall is so irregular that it doesn't make sense to have a sled. It was 35 degrees, hooded sweatshirt, carhart bibs and I was toasty.

cool that looks like fun... now that i have the honda, i cant wait for warmer weather to ride... it got to 45 today, i went for a mountain bike ride. COME ON SPRING!!!

 

Speaking of MTN bikes, I'm looking at replacing my 7 yr old NEXT (Walmart) fully suspended pile of parts. I'm looking at TREK bikes with fork suspension only, any models you'd recommend Eric?

 

it's a sad thing that in the middle of winter we get more videos of josh riding in the snow than we do of everyone else riding anywhere.

Hey Josh, funny you should mention the Next bike, I bought mine at Walmart about 7 years ago, it was stolen out of the woodshed a few months ago, stinking meth heads. Mine was the orange model with the suspension. Oh well there is a lady at work that is moving to London this summer and she has the same bike except its the newer model and is the aluminum model. Mine was the steel version and it weighed 50 lbs. Oh and she said I could have it for free.
