A couple of the guys I race with in the NC hare scramble series went, here's one of their helmet cams. Looks like some good trails:

Don't worry, the music stops and you just here the bike once the intro is done.

Just curious, was this a dual sport only ride? Or were non-plated bikes OK?

I'm surprised these guys' hare scramble bikes are plated. I bet they just grabbed a plate off their street ride and zip tied it on. Lol.

I may have to do that one next year. My Husaberg is not going to be street legal in NC any time soon, but I still have my son's 200 XC-W 2-stroke which is plated. That ought to work.

Was going to go until I found blown fork seals on both my bikes. Didn't have enough time to get one up and going. Heard nothing but good things about the ride from all that went.

Did do the meteor ride this year. Actually the last 5 years. Saturday sucked(way to short) Sunday was the cat's ***. We rode on a few of the trails we did on that KLX ride way back when.

Don't sweat the legalities to hard. With 500 bikes out there the chances you'll get busted are slim. Bring either bike and I'll be more than happy to kick your *** all day both days

NObrakes huh?? Aren't you the guy who raced the entire hare scramble season down there in hicksville? I've followed your thread over at that other place. Never mind you'll probably kick mine.

Could be a bit of fun to mix it up some though. How bout it? See ya in a year??

Hicksville? Haha, yeah that'd be me. I won't be kicking too much *** nor taking too many names, but I know how to have fun. The last race of the season is this weekend, which is round 16 of the series, and I've done two out of series races for 18 total from mid March to mid November. I don't think I realized how much I was biting off when I thought, "sure, I'll do the whole series, how hard can it be?" lol It's been a huge amount of fun, though, more than I can describe. I'd do it all again in a heart beat - I highly recommend it to anyone even vaguely interested in trying a few, even if it seems a little overwhelming at first.

But I hear you've done an enduro or two yourself? Somehow I think I'd be working hard to keep up with you. Either way, I would love to mix it up with ya, lcpl0331. And the first round's on me when we're done.
