I bought my lift from a local auto parts place called robbins auto parts.No issues except its heavy as hell.I originally bought it for changing my kids tires on his pulling tractors and found it usefull for almost anything.When I bought 27" mud sharks for my cat 4 whlr,it picked the thing up so I could pull all wheels at once to have them mounted.It sits about 8" high and the whole top will spin to raise it more & each of the four pads will spin to reach each lifting point so your lifting level.It has 6 tabs for strapping your load securely.It is the same unit as most discount houses sell just a diff color.If you have the traveling tool sales come around your neck of the woods they usually have them also.Hope this helps.

 

I picked one up from Pepboys. 62.00 bucks. Great rear wheel clearance. Just use two small wood blocks and the front tire is off the ground

And it even makes a great work stand.............lol

 

Not a thing wrong with any of those lifts IMO as long as they do what you want.I just needed something bigger at the time.That scissor lift is awesome onestarr,I like the lock down points at the pegs. Mole the lift you have is equally handy for most jobs as well and they are cheap to purchase,if they help you out just once it was well worth the price.

 

+1 on Onestarr's scissor lift. I wish I could get one,however there is a ratherrude statement atthe websitethat saysthey 'don't ship to military APO/FPO's, so dont ask!'

I sent a nasty gram (as if he cares, right? Made me feel better though). I can understand if you work with minimal staff and don't want them waithing in line a the USPO, but I think the rude statement was uncalled for.

 

Onestar, That is an awesome lift! I know some of the other guys have this lift on the site but I didn't see that one when I got mine. It looks like the best one for working on your bike.

 

Thanks, The lift is great! It makes working on the bike soooo much easier. I also bought a craftmans shop stool that I sit on while working on the bike.The stool was $20 bucks on sale, well worth the money..

 

So much forthe days of a milk crate and laying in the dirt driveway.
