Default Going Mad

Bought an Ebay bargain 1994 klx250 which it turns out needs a new conrod as there is play, can't seem to find a kit anywhere, does no one make them, what about new KLX is there crank different. Why are there no aftermarket parts is it because they are normally that good it's not worth making them or are they that bad that no one wants to make them. Why would you buy a new kawasaki if you cant get spares. Have heard an xr250 kit is similar apart from 2mm shorter rod. Feel like taking this thing into a field and torching it.

Same motor from 1994 to Present. Finding a connecting rod should be no issue

I feel your pain... Looks like your only option is a complete crank assm. Also looks like Kawasaki did a design change mid year on your bike so there are two different possibilities to choose from... and it looks like availability is going to be another problem-both are backordered.

My '12 beat out the rod bearing and I ended up having to replace the crank. I even sent my old crank to a fellow in Kentucky to see if there were any parts that he could substitute- no such luck.
